From Times Staff and Wire Reports

A 7-foot, half-ton moose played tourist in Boston, turning heads and surprising the locals as it trotted through tony neighborhoods. It probably wandered out of protected wildlife areas, a wildlife official said. The female moose ambled past storefronts and down streets of neighborhoods in western Boston. In the end, the animal appeared to elude everyone. “We’ve given up actively looking for it,” a wildlife dispatcher said.
