HUNTINGTON BEACH — Police made three arrests Saturday morning after a fistfight at the beach in which two brothers were beaten, stomped and kicked by about eight people.
Police said Isais and Victor Leta were leaving the beach around 3 a.m. Saturday when they were confronted by about a dozen people. A verbal altercation escalated into a scuffle and both brothers were pushed to the ground, police said.
At one point, Isais Leta was cut with a broken beer bottle, police said, but the injury apparently was not serious.
The attackers fled but were soon stopped by police. Arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon were: Riguberto Navarro, 24, of Los Angeles; Pete Rodriguez, 26, of Pico Rivera; and Adrian Rincon, 24, of Pico Rivera.
The brothers were not hospitalized, police said.
