. . . About 6,000 “Star Trek” fans beamed down to the Disneyland Hotel for a two-day convention and celebration of the 20th anniversary of the TV show. An autographed photo of William Shatner sold for $65.
Said one enthusiastic convention-goer, dressed in a Star Trek uniform: “Trekkies have a special spirit that no others have.”
