Individuals, Firms Cited by Chamber

The Chamber of Commerce has honored two individuals and two businesses for their contributions to the community.

Johnnie Strohmyer is the chamber’s 1996 Woman of the Year, while Gary Tekely is Man of the Year. Chamber officials said both residents have made outstanding contributions to civic and volunteer groups.

The award for Small Business of the Year went to Hansen Body & Paint-Cypress Auto Tow, and honors for Large Business of the Year went to Matsushita Electric Corp. of America.
