Corridor Development Focus of Open House
The last of five open houses offering a detailed look at six alternatives for the future development of Orange County’s much-used transportation corridor between Fullerton and Irvine will be held today in Costa Mesa.
Scheduled for 2 to 7 p.m. at the Wyndham Garden Hotel, 3350 Ave. of the Arts, the program will feature detailed maps and aerial photographs. Orange County Transportation Authority employees will be there to answer questions.
Alternatives being considered for the 28-mile-long, 6-mile-wide corridor include improving existing freeways and transit services, constructing a toll extension of the Orange Freeway and building a light rail system.
The OCTA board is expected to make a decision this fall.
