Entertainment / Media to Buy Distributor: The Beverly Hills company agreed to buy Overseas Filmgroup Inc. for about $24 million, including $3.5 million in debt. Closely held Los Angeles-based Overseas Filmgroup, with revenue last year of $21.7 million, acquires and distributes independently produced films in the U.S. and abroad. Shares of Entertainment/Media Acquisition Corp., which began trading in February 1995, most recently traded at $5.375. That makes the stock portion of the transaction worth $17.1 million. The combined company will keep the Overseas Filmgroup name. Overseas Filmgroup has distributed such films as Oscar-winning “Antonia’s Line.”
