10 Years Ago Today . . .
. . . Irvine Co. said it would eliminate 240 jobs in an unprecedented downsizing.
“Frankly, it is a very dramatic impact on this company,” Human Resources Director Daniel G. Beals said.
The cutback was Irvine Co.’s largest layoff to date, affecting the work force in every department.
