Applicants Sought for Arts Commission
Residents are being asked to apply to the Thousand Oaks Arts Commission, an 11-member panel that advises the City Council and promotes cultural enrichment.
Applications are being accepted until Monday. Members will be appointed by the City Council for two-year terms. The commission meets the second Tuesday of each month from September through July. The meetings are televised live at 7 p.m. on TOTV.
Among the commission’s ongoing projects are an annual art and photography show, art in public places, art at the Civic Arts Plaza, a children’s mural, arts festival, community gallery and young people’s arts celebration.
Applicants should have expertise in the arts, architecture, history, arts funding or a related subject. To apply, contact the city clerk’s office at the Civic Arts Plaza at 449-2151.
