* Re “Airport Violations Draw Record Penalty,” June 21.
Right on, L.A. City Attorney’s office! Finally something is being done to enforce the curfew landings and takeoffs [at Van Nuys Airport].
It is so nerve-racking when you’re awakened out of a sound sleep at 3 a.m. I’m sure a lot of homeowners would like to have a talk with those pilots--if they knew where to go.
The city could probably use homeowners from Encino and North Hills to collect any fines that are imposed for violations for landings and takeoffs. Those companies wouldn’t be in business for long!
