Rise in Single-Family Home Sales Reported

May sales of Conejo Valley single-family homes totaled 268, compared to 174 a year ago, according to the Conejo Valley Assn. of Realtors.
The median sales price for all single-family homes in the area in May was $247,100. The median price for home sales in May 1995 was $244,871. The median price is the point at which half of the units sold for more and half for less.
The median prices for single-family homes in May were $160,000 for 12 homes up to two bedrooms; $212,036 for 99 three-bedroom homes; and $295,000 for 157 houses with four or more bedrooms.
In May 1995, the median sales prices were $150,000 for nine two-bedroom homes, $195,384 for 74 three-bedroom houses, and $331,249 for 91 homes with four or more bedrooms.
Condominium sales totaled 87 in May, compared to 47 in May 1995.
Total sales for all real-estate transactions in May was $97.9 million; for May 1995, the total was $62.2 million.
