Biopsys Medical Signs Distribution Agreement

IRVINE — Biopsys Medical Inc. said Monday that it signed a nonexclusive agreement that gives a division of Trex Medical Corp. the right to distribute Biopsys Medical’s Mammotome Biopsy System.

Biopsys, an Irvine maker of products for the diagnosis and management of breast cancer, said dealers for Trex’s Lorad unit may buy the Mammotome motor drive unit from Biopsys at a discount from list price and bundle the unit with the Lorad stereotactic imaging table.
