Officer’s Actions Were Justified
* In regard to Officer Robert Flinn (“Oxnard Officer Charged with Assault of a Burglary Suspect”):
Let me get this straight. After he chases the suspect on foot, Officer Flinn orders the suspect on the ground. The suspect refuses. What is the officer supposed to do? What would Deputy Dist. Atty. Michael K. Frawley do in that situation? Whip out his ACLU credit card and treat Juan Lopez to a night on the town?
If Officer Flinn is convicted, the first thing I’m doing is buying a gun for protection, because I wouldn’t blame any officer for just looking the other way for fear of getting into the same mess.
We need criminals in prison and good police officers on the street, not the other way around. Give Officer Robert Flinn back his badge and put an end to this nonsense.
