Fall, Winter Tours to Warm To

Irvine-based Trieloff Tours, which specializes in travel for senior citizens, is offering a choice of tours for fall and winter. Prices listed are per person, double or triple occupancy. All tours are escorted, and include round-trip air fare from Southern California cities, hotel accommodations, travel bag, entrance fees to attractions, plus some meals. Many of the following tours offer a choice of departure dates:

* Fall Foliage Tour to New England and Canada departs Sept. 23 and 27 for 10 days. The tour includes sightseeing in New Hampshire, Maine and the Canadian provinces of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick with city tours of Boston, Lexington and Concord, Mass. Price: $1,499 per person.

* Cajun Dixie Tour departs Nov. 12 for eight days and covers Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Participants visit New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Alexandria in Louisiana; Natchez, Vicksburg and Hattiesburg in Mississippi; and Jackson and Mobile in Alabama. Included are tours of Bellingrath Gardens, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Jackson and Mobile, plus Vicksburg Battlefield, the home of Jefferson Davis, historic Southern mansions, a shrimp boat cruise and riverboat trip. * Thanksgiving in San Antoniodeparts Nov. 21 for six days. Guests visit the Alamo, the Mexican Market, take a boat ride on the San Antonio River in the heart of the city, visit the LBJ Library and tour Texas Hill Country. Price: $999 per person.

* Christmas in San Antonio departs Dec. 21 for six days. The itinerary is similar to the Thanksgiving tour, with a gala Christmas Eve dinner included. Price: $999 per person.

The Mature Tours division of Solo Flights--”For Youthful Spirits Over 50”--is repeating one of its most popular tours, to New York City, Oct. 1 to 6. The tour is limited to 15 people, who will stay at the Wellington Hotel, which is adjacent to Carnegie Hall.
