Onyx Acceptance Corp.: The Irvine automobile-finance company said net income for the second quarter totaled $2.1 million, or 33 cents a share, contrasted with a net loss of $286,829, or 8 cents a share, for the same period of 1995. Revenue increased to $6.4 million from $1.6 million. First-half net income was $5.3 million, or $1.06 a share, contrasted with a net loss of $1 million, or 29 cents a share, for the 1995 first half. Revenue rose to $13.1 million from $2.8 million.
