Smartflex Systems Inc.: The Tustin provider of electronic assemblies and subassemblies reported that second-quarter net income rose 45% to 1.6 million, or 26 cents a share, from the $1.1 million, or 26 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue rose 21% to $34.3 million from $28.4 million. First-half net income was $3.6 million, or 56 cents a share, 80% higher than the $2 million, or 45 cents a share, for the same period in 1995. Revenue increased 42% to $74.3 million from $52.2 million.
