VALENCIA — A man who flashed a pistol in his waistband made off with an estimated $50,000 worth of merchandise Wednesday from a jewelry store in the 25800 block of McBean Parkway, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
The robbery occurred about 1:15 p.m. at the Classic Designs Jewelry store, said Deputy Richard Larue. No one was injured and the robber is still being sought.
The gunman walked into the store, showed the gun and demanded all the diamonds behind the counter. He was given various jewels, Larue said, and ran from the store.
Deputies described the robber as a man with dark skin and black hair; 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He wore black pants and a striped white shirt.
