Traffic Crackdown Targets Intersection
Don’t be a lead foot while driving in Thousand Oaks next week or east county sheriff’s deputies will be on your tail.
The Sheriff’s Department has designated the intersection of Hillcrest Drive and Rancho Conejo Road as its Traffic Tip of the Week safety-enhancement spot for Sunday through July 27.
The East County Traffic Bureau has noted a high number of accidents at the intersection as a result of drivers speeding or violating other traffic rules. They will be on the lookout for lawbreakers in the area next week, said Sgt. Ken Bailey.
Deputies hope to reduce accidents through ongoing community traffic education and enforcement, Bailey said.
