The Atlanta Journal-Constitution was given no official reason for a reduction in the number of photographers the paper was allowed to have at the opening ceremonies from six to one. But John Glenn, the paper’s director of photography, can’t help but wonder if it had anything to do with photos the paper published of the dress rehearsal earlier this week.

According to another source at the paper, intern Heather Ehre was assigned to shoot an Atlanta Brave game earlier this week, and looked over into the adjacent Olympic Stadium and saw the dress rehearsal in progress. She took the opportunity to shoot some frames.

Coincidentally, Ehre was working as a volunteer for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games. She lost her Olympic job after the photos appeared Tuesday.
