Man Slain in Argument at Drug Clinic
An argument between two patients of a methadone clinic turned deadly Sunday.
Ronald Bruce Anderson, 50, died after he was stabbed in the neck outside the Western Pacific Medical Group, a drug-rehabilitation clinic, said Sgt. Paul McMillin of the LAPD’s Van Nuys station.
Haydn Kausch, 36, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
The incident began at about 8:15 a.m., McMillin said, when Anderson allegedly initiated a verbal argument with Kausch that escalated into a physical fight. After being stabbed, Anderson ran inside the clinic, where he died, McMillin said.
Representatives of Western Pacific, which offers a methadone program for heroin and morphine addicts, could not be reached for comment. Police would not comment on the subject of the argument between the two men.
