Parris-Washington Lifts Canada Past Taiwan, 2-1

Chris Parris-Washington’s two-out single in the 10th inning scored designated-runner Kelly Kelland from third and gave Canada a 2-1 softball victory over Taiwan.
Taiwan’s designated runner, Tze-Hsiu Liu, was thrown out at the plate in the top of the inning when she tried to score from second on an infield hit.
In other games: China beat Australia, 6-0, and Japan defeated the Netherlands, 3-0.
