Amgen Supports Nonprofit Group

Continuing its support to local social service groups, the Amgen Foundation has made a $5,000 contribution to Community Conscience, a Thousand Oaks-based nonprofit organization.

“We are extremely grateful to the Amgen Foundation for its ongoing commitment to assisting Community Conscience,” said Pat Paulucci, president of the organization. “Without the contributions of community-minded corporations like Amgen, we could not hope to continue our policy of providing rent-free space to the 19 nonprofit social service agencies housed in the Under One Roof Human Services Center.”

Community Conscience was formed in 1981 to give support to local social service agencies. The Under One Roof campaign is an ongoing effort to eliminate the mortgage on the 15,000-square-foot Human Service Center.

The center, at 80 E. Hillcrest Drive, also houses four government agencies.

Amgen has been supporting the campaign since 1992, donating a total of $30,000.
