Jacor Wins Justice Dept. OK to Merge with Citicasters: Antitrust clearance has been given for the Cincinnati-based broadcaster’s bid to buy Citicasters Inc., its cross-town rival, in a $770-million deal that would create one of the nation’s largest radio groups. Jacor said it reached agreement with the Justice Department to sell Cincinnati radio station WKRQ-FM, one of the 19 radio stations and two TV stations Jacor would acquire in the deal. Department officials had been looking into whether the deal would create a monopoly in radio advertising in Cincinnati.
