Eltron Nearly Doubles 2nd-Quarter Sales in ’96

Eltron International of Simi Valley continued a successful trend, nearly doubling its second-quarter sales from a year ago.

The company posted $22.7 million in revenue for the three-month period ended June 30, compared to $12.2 million for the same three months in 1995. Eltron also reported net income of $2.8 million for the second quarter this year, an increase of 87% from $1.5 million a year earlier.

Earnings per share increased from 21 cents for the second quarter of 1995 to 36 cents for the same period this year.

“We continued to achieve record sales and earnings,” said Eltron chairman and chief executive Donald Skinner. “This is our 22nd consecutive quarter of record growth.”

Eltron designs, manufactures and markets thermal label and plastic card printers, printing systems, software and accessories used in the health care, retail, manufacturing, package-delivery, financial services and security industries.
