M. Andriette Culbertson Named Planning Firm’s New President
M. Andriette Culbertson has been named president of Culbertson, Adams & Associates, an Aliso Viejo land and environmental planning firm. Culbertson had been executive vice president since the firm was established in 1981. She succeeds her husband, C. David Culbertson, who was appointed chairman of the board.
* Ann Swift has been appointed auditor and compliance officer for Santa Ana-based First American Trust Co. Before joining the company, she was compliance officer for First Interstate Investments Inc. in San Diego, and prior to that, a member of the audit staff of San Diego Trust and Savings Bank, California Federal Bank and Executive Life Insurance Co.
* Randy Howard has been named vice president of refining for Unocal’s 76 Products Co. in Costa Mesa. He succeeds Arthur Felderman, will has been with Unocal for 33 years. Howard has been with the company 23 years, most recently as vice president of supply and transportation.
* Ruth M. Ranalli has been appointed director of marketing for Creative Design Consultants Inc., a Costa Mesa interior design firm. She joined the company in 1994 as marketing manager.
* Barbara Stowers has been named vice president of sales and marketing for Taylor Woodrow in Laguna Hills. Before joining the home builder in 1995 as sales manager, she was senior vice president at the Roxburgh Agency Inc. in Costa Mesa.
* Gary J. Beban has been appointed to the board of directors of Santa Ana-based First American Financial Corp. and to the board of its principal subsidiary, First American Title Insurance Co. Beban succeeds Frank Harrington, who died last year. Beban is president and general manager of CB Commercial Real Estate Group, Inc.
* Naishu Wang has joined Allied Biotechnology International Inc. in Costa Mesa as director of the medical diagnostic division. She was previously with the division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the UC San Diego Medical Center.
* Randi E. Pinckes has joined the Irvine law firm of Kasdan, Simonds, McIntyre, Epstein & Martin. She will work in the firm’s construction defect litigation department.
* Terry E. Van Gorder has been appointed to the board of directors of Iwerks Entertainment Inc., a Burbank producer of ride simulations, 2D and 3D giant-screen theaters, video dance clubs and other attractions. Van Gorder is president and chief executive of Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park.
