LANCASTER — A 19-year-old man was slightly injured when two acid bombs placed outside his home exploded, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Tuesday.
The unidentified man heard a noise near his home in the 2200 block of West Avenue K-12 at about 10 p.m. Monday night. He went out to check on the commotion and found a small bomb in his front yard, according to Deputy Mark Bailey.
As he was backing away, the bomb exploded and another bomb, placed a short distance away, blew up at the same time.
Bailey said the man was treated for minor eye irritation by a family doctor.
Investigators know of no motive for the bombing, Bailey said.
