Zoning Hearing Set on Prayer Hall Plan
A Los Angeles zoning official will hold public hearings Monday regarding applications for several city permits, including a proposal to construct a prayer hall beside a Reseda church, the office of zoning administration says.
The applications include requests for:
* A conditional-use permit to construct a new barn, stables and riding area at a Chatsworth horse ranch located at 10870 Topanga Canyon Blvd. The barn would accommodate as many as 75 horses. The hearing will be held Monday at 2 p.m.
* A conditional-use permit to allow construction of a 2,100-square-foot prayer hall adjacent to a church at 18009 Sherman Way in Reseda. The church is seeking to demolish two single-family homes on its property to build the prayer hall, which will be used for evening religious classes three days a week. The hearing will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m.
Both hearings will take place at the Sherman Oaks Woman’s Club, 4808 Kester Ave. For more information, call (818) 756-8596.
