Lindberg Elected Fair Board President

Jim Lindberg of Corona del Mar has been elected president of the Orange County Fair and Exposition Center’s board for 1996-97.
Lindberg, 73, was appointed to the board by Gov. Pete Wilson in 1992. He works as a real estate agent on Newport Beach’s Balboa Island.
Gary Hayakawa, 51, was elected vice president of the nine-member board, which manages the fairgrounds and the annual Orange County Fair.
Hayakawa, also appointed by Wilson in 1992, is the principal of a Fountain Valley preschool.
The fair’s general manager, Becky Bailey-Findley, will serve as the board’s secretary and treasurer. Bailey-Findley is a resident of Anaheim Hills.
