Paper umbrellas and fruit skewers are the traditional tropical drink garnish. Our garnish combines both ideas by using pineapple leaves as the umbrella and fruit for the handle.

To make, cut off the top of a pineapple and set it aside. Pluck out the small leaves from the bottom of the pineapple top. Stick the pineapple leaves on a wooden skewer, turning slightly each time until you complete an umbrella. Adjust the leaves and add more where necessary. Top with a cherry. Stick the other end of the skewer into a pineapple wedge.
