Long Beach Seeks to Honor Improvements

Share

It may be as simple as daintily arranged flower boxes or as grand as a historical renovation. Whatever makes Long Beach look good, the city’s Planning Commission wants to hear about it.

“Build a Better Long Beach” is the city’s new awards program by which residents can draw attention to projects that have improved the appearance of residential, commercial, institutional or industrial areas anywhere in the city.

“Our goal not only is to give recognition to those in our city who have had creative ideas,” planning and building Director Eugene Zeller said in a statement, “but [also] to share [these ideas] with other members of the community.”
