Gary J. Matus and Terry E. Van Gorder are the new board members.

Matus is executive vice president at Bank of America in Los Angeles. Van Gorder is chief executive of Knott’s Berry Farm.

Iwerks is a maker of ride simulation centers and giant-screen theaters, and has recently turned profitable again after posting big losses in recent years.

* Applause Enterprises Inc. in Woodland Hills has named Steven L. Muellner as president.

Muellner was most recently vice president of sales and marketing at Caradon Doors & Windows Inc.

Applause is a licensing company specializing in figurines and plush toys.

* Kelly O’Connor has been promoted to director of exhibitor services at Warner Bros. Inc. in Burbank from her previous position as manager of the division. Corey Carr, formerly assistant manager, has become manager.

In her new post, O’Connor will supervise the distribution of all advertising and marketing materials for Warner Bros. films to exhibitors nationwide.

* Bruce Brown has joined Allcable Inc. of Oxnard as sales manager. Previously he worked as a wire and cable specialist in Nevada and Colorado.
