OUTLOOK

Estancia picked up four key transfers. Mokede (Costa Mesa) is athletic and will play defense. Liebengood (Newport Harbor), the coach’s son, represents a sizable addition to the line. Manu Tanielu (Santa Ana Valley) is as athletic as his brothers and Meyer arrived from Missouri. Estancia scored decade-high 282 points last year with its new double-wing offense, and Bachy Gonzalez’s 1,187 yards broke a 23-year-old school rushing record; Liebengood says Felix, Dawson or Taleni Tanielu could eclipse the new standard. Estancia forfeited its 47-0 victory over Laguna Beach after losing first-round playoff game to Division VIII finalist La Mirada, 16-14.
