Tutors Needed to Help Students With English
The Senior Center is seeking volunteers for an acclaimed program that helps tutor young people in basic English skills.
This fall, officials expect to have about 50 students in the after-school program. Senior volunteers spend a few hours each week helping children learn to read, spell and understand simple math principles.
The program was credited with helping Westminster win the All-America City award earlier this summer.
