Ticket Courier Shot and Killed at UCLA
A man believed to be a UCLA ticket courier was shot and killed Sunday night next to Pauley Pavilion during an apparent robbery attempt, a university police officer said.
The man was making a ticket drop at the Central Ticket Office when the shooting occurred about 8:30 p.m., said campus Officer Joseph Daum.
The victim was shot in the chest and abdomen, he said, and was pronounced dead at UCLA Medical Center.
Police did not release the name of the victim, and would not say whether any of the tickets the victim was carrying were stolen.
University police had no immediate suspects.
