Public Forums to Examine Effects of Economic Trends

A series of public forums on how economic trends affect individuals will continue tonight with a meeting in Glendale. Sessions also are set in Commerce and Oxnard.

“Pocketbook Pressures: Who Benefits from Economic Growth?” will be discussed at the Glendale Public Library from 7 to 9 p.m. with the help of a trained facilitator. The library is at 222 E. Harvard Street. A forum on the same topic is scheduled Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Commerce’s Atlantic Branch Library, 2269 S. Atlantic Blvd.

A discussion will be held Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Oxnard library, 251 S. A St.

The forums, part of the Common Ground series, are sponsored by the Metropolitan Cooperative Library System, the Los Angeles County Public Library and the Los Angeles Times.
