Friends Say Goodbye to Allan Malamud
An estimated 500 family members, friends and colleagues paid their final respects to Times columnist Allan Malamud on Thursday during funeral services at Hillside Memorial Park.
Malamud, 54, was found dead in his Los Angeles apartment Monday morning.
For the last 22 years, Malamud wrote the “Notes on a Scorecard” column, first at the now-defunct Herald Examiner and at The Times since 1989.
Speakers included former Dodger manager Tom Lasorda and USC football Coach John Robinson.
