Free Immunizations Offered for Children

In a campaign to protect all Los Angeles boys and girls from childhood disease, a series of free immunization clinics are scheduled over the next several weeks throughout the San Fernando Valley.

Known as Team Immunize and sponsored by the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, the clinics will take place twice a week until Oct. 31.

The clinics, intended for children 5 and younger, will administer immunizations against diseases such as polio, diphtheria, measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B and tetanus.

In the Valley, clinics will be held at Granada Hills Community Hospital, 10445 Balboa Blvd.; Mission City Community Network, 15206 Parthenia St., North Hills; San Antonio Health Care, 17756 Saticoy St., Reseda, and the Van Nuys office of Dr. Rosalind Amor, 16063 Vanowen St.

Also: Vanalden Avenue Children’s Center, 6212 Vanalden Ave., Reseda; Friendly Hills Health Care Network & Foundation, 7111 Winnetka Ave., Canoga Park; office of Dr. Rosalind Amor, 21001 Sherman Way, No. 15, Canoga Park, and Clinica Medica San Miguel, 12626 Riverside Drive, No. 300, North Hollywood.

The clinics are scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Mondays and 10 a.m. to noon Saturdays. No appointment is necessary. For more information, call (800) 427-8700.
