Newport Harbor Defeats Westminster

The score was tied, 7-7, in the second quarter before Newport Harbor scored four consecutive touchdowns to beat Marina, 36-13, in a nonleague game Friday night at Westminster High.

The Sailors’ Ray Ohrel scored twice and finished with 174 yards in 14 carries. Quarterback Josiah Fredriksen completed 15 of 20 passes for 156 yards.

Ohrel put Newport Harbor (2-0) ahead, 19-7, with a one-yard run, and scored the Sailors’ final touchdown, a nine-yard run. Brett Baker blocked two punts for Newport Harbor.
