Inglewood Gives OK to Tattoo Parlors
Inglewood City Council members recently approved an ordinance allowing tattoo parlors to open in the city’s commercial districts. But tattoo shops that want to open in the downtown area will have to get a special permit in a public hearing before the City Council.
Inglewood’s attitude is just the opposite of that taken in Hermosa Beach, which in August voted not to allow tattoo parlors to open in the city because council members felt it was not the type of business they wanted in town.
Other South Bay cities that don’t allow tattoo parlors are Torrance, Redondo Beach and Manhattan Beach.
