Happening at the Fair
CONTESTS: Doughnut eating at 5 p.m. at the Good Music stage. And just for fun there’s dot painting at 4:30 p.m. at the America’s Kids area. Beach volleyball will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Plaza of the States Park.
SPIRITUAL: An uplifting celebration of gospel music at 7 p.m. at the Good Music stage.
NICKELODEON: Children and adults will be selected from the audience to participate in the “U Pick Nick” family variety show. Participants who step on stage will decide which games and stunts to play. 8 p.m. at the grandstand.
WILD WEST: Cowboys in authentic Western garb will shoot blanks at one another and gallop around obstacles as they compete in equestrian sports at the Horse Show Arena at 7 p.m.
The fair runs today through Sept. 29 at the L.A. Fairplex, 1101 W. McKinley Ave., Pomona. 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Admission is $9, $7 for senior citizens and $5 for ages 6 to 12. (909) 623-3111.
