Improvements Planned for Lomita Park
Lomita’s largest city park is getting a little larger.
The city has torn down a three-bedroom house north of eight-acre Lomita Park to make way for a half-acre parking lot next to the soccer field.
The city also added an elaborate assortment of playground equipment.
Next is a new softball field with bleachers, a dugout and water fountain. The project is being funded by a $174,624 state Neighborhood Park Grant the city received last year.
