From Times Staff and Wire Reports

An attorney working for Whitewater independent counsel Kenneth W. Starr’s office has quit over a potential conflict of interest apparently involving President Clinton’s former political advisor, Dick Morris. Attorney Roger M. Adelman is employed by a Pittsburgh law firm representing Morris, who quit Clinton’s reelection campaign team last month amid a scandal over his relationship with a prostitute. The prostitute alleges that Morris told her First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton was behind the improper FBI background file checks on current and former White House employees. Starr’s investigation has been expanded to include the FBI files matter, which could involve Morris as a witness.
