Share

A second annual L.A. Countywide Arts Open House will take place Saturday in four principal venues, plus 23 other cities and communities throughout Los Angeles County--from Agoura Hills to Whittier, from Culver City to Compton.

Sponsored by the L.A. County Music and Performing Arts Commission, the free events will showcase more than 100 arts organizations, with performances, displays and demonstrations, and will be followed in some communities by monthlong arts celebrations. In 1995, a reported 35,000 people attended the first Arts Open House.

Principal locations are:

* Museum Row, where Wilshire Boulevard will be blocked off between Curson and Fairfax. At that site, five of the city’s museums, including the L.A. County Museum of Art and the Petersen Automotive Museum, will open their doors free for the day.
