Retired Navy Man to Join Harbor Panel

Tony V. Grey has been unanimously appointed to the Oxnard Harbor District board to fill the remaining three months of former Commissioner Ray Fletcher’s term.
Fletcher, who retired Aug. 30, had been a member of the five-person panel for almost 20 years before stepping down, Executive Director Bill Buenger said.
Grey retired from the Navy in 1982 and is a logistics manager at the Seabee base.
He has served on a number of civic panels, including the Oxnard Planning Commission, the Ventura County Fair Board and the United Way of Ventura County Board of Directors. Grey is not among four candidates running for two open seats on the port authority board in the Nov. 5 election.
