Southern California Christian 34, La Verne Lutheran 6--Fullback Tony Chandler rushed 21 times for 258 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Flames (3-1) at home.

Chandler scored on first-half runs of 71, 19 and 14 yards as Southern California Christian built a 28-0 halftime lead.

The Flames took a 7-0 lead on the first play of the game when Chandler took the handoff on a counter play and went 71 yards up the left sideline.

On their next drive, the Flames went 40 yards in five plays to take a 14-0 lead with 6:53 left in the first quarter. Jeremy Smith’s one-yard run capped the drive.

Chandler’s 19-yard run made it 21-0 early in the second quarter. Southern California Christian drove 90 yards in 12 plays for the score.

Chandler made it 28-0 with 2:50 left in the half on a 14-yard run around the right side. Chandler finished the first half with 189 yards in 17 carries.
