Orioles’ Surhoff May Miss Game 1
The status of Baltimore left fielder B.J. Surhoff is uncertain for Game 1 of the American League Championship Series on Tuesday at New York.
Surhoff, who hit three home runs during the Orioles’ upset of Cleveland, has a sore right knee and a strained left hamstring.
If Surhoff can’t play, Pete Incaviglia will start in his place.

Oriole Manager Davey Johnson has heard the name-calling, but he has only praise for Roberto Alomar.
“He’s a great player who didn’t let the situation get to him,” Johnson said. “He reminds me of Frank Robinson. It’s like Frank always wrote the script to the game. If you needed a base hit or a home run, he’d get it for you. Robbie’s the same way.”
