State’s Top Jurist Plans Local Visit
California Supreme Court Chief Justice Ronald M. George is scheduled to appear at the Ventura County Courthouse on Thursday as a guest of the county Superior and Municipal courts.
George plans first to address the California Assn. for Trial Court Administration at the Doubletree Hotel in Ventura.
The association is made up of court administrators from around the state, and about 100 members are expected to attend.
Afterward, George is scheduled to meet with the staff of the Ventura courts and tour the courthouse.
“The chief justice will also attend a joint meeting of the Superior and Municipal court judges to discuss varying topics that are affecting the courts of today,” Superior Court Presiding Judge Robert Bradley said in a prepared statement.
