Mixing Politics and Music

Share

Wasn’t it sad that Crosby, Stills & Nash were upset that their song was used for a Prop. 209 radio ad? (“Crosby, Stills & Nash Object to Song’s Use in Ad for Prop. 209,” Oct. 5). Maybe now they know how I feel every time I go to one of their concerts to hear music and have to listen to political opinion in between songs and learn that my ticket fee went to some political cause that I don’t support.

Maybe limousine liberals such as Jackson Browne, Bonnie Raitt and Crosby, Stills & Nash should stop using concert revenues for political causes and stick to singing. We don’t rely on politicians for music, and it’s probably best to leave politics out of the hands of singers (Santa Barbara excepted).
