Cellular Phones Taken in Indirect Break-In

Share

Burglars stole about 100 cellular phones from AirTouch Cellular by entering through the roof of an adjacent business and cutting a hole into an AirTouch store, investigators said Monday.

The burglary occurred in the 27000 block of Alicia Parkway between 8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday, when employees at Noah’s Bagels discovered a hole in the wall separating their business and AirTouch Cellular, Sheriff’s Lt. Lynn Nehring said.

Investigators said the burglars did not take anything from the bagel shop. They apparently entered it to circumvent AirTouch’s alarm system, which was dismantled during the break-in.
