Several candidates in upcoming elections will participate in a forum tonight hosted by the San Fernando Valley Women’s Organizations Coalition.

Some initiatives on the Nov. 5 ballot will also be discussed.

The candidates forum at the Pierce College Campus Center Lounge, 6201 Winnetka Ave., will immediately follow the presidential debate, which will be televised in the room beginning at 6 p.m.

Candidates from the 24th and 25th congressional districts, 18th, 21st and 23rd state Senate districts, and 38th, 40th, 41st and 42nd Assembly districts will be questioned on a selection of topics of interest to coalition members. Those topics include Valley secession, affirmative action, school vouchers, Medi-Cal and child care.
