Skirting the Line: A TV documentary tonight about men who dress as women features the shop of Jim Bridges, a former makeup artist who now sells corsets, wigs and big dresses in Studio City. Makeup workshops can cost as much as $100. “It’s an expensive hobby,” Bridges says (F15).

Historic Burbank: The big news at Burbank City Hall is, well, City Hall. . . . Next Tuesday, the 53-year-old building will officially take its place on the National Register of Historic Places. “It’s very distinctive architecture both outside and inside,” says the city’s Greg Herrmann.
